The Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Nomad is powered by a 1552cc, v-twin, four valved engine that delivers acceleration and power that is impressive. The engine is liquid cooled ensuring that it maintains consistent engine temperatures for sustained power. The engine is rubber-mounted too, that eliminates virtually all engine vibration. Great acceleration around town and laid-back highway cruising is provided with the five speed transmission that includes a positive neutral finder-just lift the shift pedal from 1st to easily find neutral.
The rear shocks on the 1600 Nomad are air-adjustable with rebound damping and the large windshield is adjustable up and down by two inches. The terrific hard saddlebags carry a large amount of gear and they are lockable and can be opened at the sides for easy access. The saddlebags are the same color as the bike for integration.
The passenger is offered floorboards, a standard backrest and a thick seat making those long rides very comfortable.
